Role overview:
Band of Rescuers North Yorkshire is a volunteer-led animal rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and kittens in need across the region. Our Fundraising Volunteers play a hugely important role in helping us raise the vital funds needed to provide food, shelter, veterinary treatment, and ongoing care for the cats and kittens we rescue.
Whether you love chatting with people at events, organising activities behind the scenes, or creating online campaigns from the comfort of your sofa with a cat supervising your every keystroke, there’s a place for you in our fundraising team.
Key responsibilities:
-
Event Support & Planning – Help organise and run fundraising events such as coffee mornings, bake sales, raffles, charity stalls, and seasonal events.
-
Community Fundraising – Attend and support local fundraising events within your area.
-
Online Campaigns – Create or support online fundraising appeals, virtual events, and social media campaigns.
-
Creative Ideas & Initiatives – Contribute fresh fundraising ideas and help develop new ways to raise awareness and support for the rescue.
-
Team Collaboration – Work alongside the wider volunteer team to help bring fundraising events and projects to life.

Time Commitment:
-
Flexible volunteering with no minimum commitment.
-
Opportunities to help at one-off events or on a more regular basis.
-
Roles available both in person and online.
-
Ideal for volunteers looking to fit fundraising around work, family life, or other commitments.
What You’ll Gain:

The opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of cats and kittens in need.
-
Experience supporting charity fundraising and event organisation.
-
A supportive, friendly, and passionate volunteer team.
-
The chance to meet like-minded people and have fun while making a difference.
