My name is Daddy Bear, or Bear, and I will possibly be one of the hardest cats Band of Rescuers has to rehome… why? Because I have FIV.
FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus and means I have a lowered immune system. It is very manageable and I am not on any medication. I can still live a long and happy life with FIV but I must be kept indoors only as the only cat (unless living with another FIV+ puss).
I have had a difficult life so far and I don’t really have much trust in humans. I came from Leeds with 11 other cats from the same house. Now I have really landed on my paws with my foster mummy and I am starting to trust her however it’s been a long journey. I had my first purrs today which my foster mummy was VERY excited about.
I am going to need an ultra special, quiet home with humans who understand I will need lots of time, love and patience. As you can see I’m a big chunky lad with lovely tabby and white markings. I am around 5 or 6 years old.
Sadly cats like me are often put to sleep because it’s hard to find us new homes. But the nice ladies at Band of Rescuers have given me a second chance at starting my life, and I’m so thankful. I just need the right person to come along.. could it be you?❤️🐻🐾
